In the summer of 2009 one of my friends called me and told that he has decided to GO GREEN. I jumped at the idea and we started discussing how important it is that we take responsibility for saving the environment at least now. The idea of going Green has become more ubiquitous than ever and becoming a part of it seemed like better-late-than-never. I then started telling how the basic steps that we can do in our daily routine like separating garbage into organic and inorganic wastes can save a lot of time and energy for recycling. We then discussed about the plastic bags, pet bottles, garbage bins, global warming, ozone layer, weather changes, ice berg drifting in Atlantic, toxic dump in pacific, the oil spills and....
He said he needed me to help him recycle some stuff and of course in the next scene I was on my way to his place. All my excitement for saving the planet got busted when I saw around 200+ bottles of almost all brands of beer available in the city ready to be sold/recycled. We had to rent a rickshaw to move 'em all . PHEW!
PS:We got enough money to start the cycle of recycling!!
